REALFOOD.ORG is currently a food writing project by Marc Brazeau.

I worked on farms growing up in Massachusetts. I worked as a political and union organizer through most of my twenties. I worked as a chef through most of my thirties. In my 40’s I’ve opened a restaurant and worked for a non profit on corner store issues and teaching cooking and nutrition in a low income community. Now at 47 I’m combining my interest in economics, politics, labor, agriculture, cooking and nutrition into food writing. I consider myself an essayist, a generalist. I am most interested in how a lay person makes sense of contested issues in a complex world.

REALFOOD.ORG began as a site for a blogging and social media site for people interested in cooking, food politics and nutrition. It had multiblog and social networking capabilities. Alas, that website was destroyed by spammers and by my not having the time to blog about food. Currently REALFOOD.ORG consists of this blog, a very active twitter feed; and a paper.li;. More projects may be on the way.
